Pro-Charter Group Will Pay You $100,000 to Prove John Oliver Wrong

By Andrew Pillow

John Oliver did a segment on his show, Last Week Tonight, about charter schools. The segment cast charter schools in a less than favorable light… to say the least.

Many charter school advocates have already responded, but none so far like the Center for Education Reform. The Center for Education Reform has launched its “Hey John Oliver, Back Off My Charter School!” contest.

First prize? $100,000.

The contest calls for a “short, low-budget video about why they think their school deserves the cash prize.”
