The Betsy DeVos confirmation soap opera is likely to end soon. The controversial Secretary of Education hopeful has come under fire for her pro-voucher stances and what some have called, “anti-public school” views.

Every senate democrat is expected to vote against DeVos. The GOP will also have to contend with two republican defectors in Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. That brings the count to a 50- 50 tie. This sets up a Vice President tie breaking situation. Current Vice President, Mike Pence, would use his vote to confirm DeVos.
